NMBD Management Corp. is governed by a board of no fewer than three directors, with officers serving as President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Officers

President & Founder

Jamil Syed

Presides over the board, provides organizational leadership, and represents NMBD publicly.

Jamil Syed is the founder of NMBD Management Corporation and has worked in the reentry and corrections field for 18 years. For over a decade he has operated sober living homes. The network he leads through JJKI Management and its affiliated companies now has about 200 beds across seven California counties.

He has served as a provider for reentry housing and has worked with CDCR for more than ten years. His programs have served over 2,500 people.

Jamil started NMBD to bring that experience into a nonprofit focused on stable housing and community support for people coming out of incarceration, treatment, or homelessness. His hope is to continue to build on what's already working: structured programming, accountability, and homes where people have a real chance to get back on their feet.

Secretary

Lacretia Ghazarian

Maintains corporate records, minutes, and the register of directors and members.

Lacretia Ghazarian is a Program Director at JJKI Management, with extensive experience in behavioral health, recovery services, transitional housing, and community-based programs. She oversees programs supporting individuals facing barriers related to substance use, reentry, and housing instability. Her work includes program development and operations, compliance, community partnerships, and coordinating services designed to help individuals achieve greater stability and independence.

Treasurer

Azeem Rawther

Oversees financial records, reporting, and the annual budget of the corporation.

Azeem Rawther is a Financial Analyst based in Southern California. He specializes in financial modeling, variance reporting, budget planning, and strategic performance forecasting for enterprise organizations. Partnering closely with leadership, he leverages deep financial systems expertise to streamline planning cycles and guide data-driven decision-making.

The corporation maintains a board of directors consisting of no fewer than three members. Directors are responsible for the governance, financial oversight, and mission fidelity of NMBD Management Corp. Additional director seats will be seated as the organization grows.
